First haircut?
David has done a great many of them. A few things that help: book a time when your child is normally rested and fed rather than at the end of a long day, bring something familiar, and let them sit on your lap for the first few minutes if that is easier. If they need to stop and restart twice, that is fine — nobody is waiting behind you. If you want a lock of hair kept for the album, say so at the start.
For children who find haircuts hard
If your child is sensitive to sound, touch or new environments — including autistic children and children with sensory processing differences — mention it when you book. The studio can keep the clippers off entirely and work with shears, keep the lighting and noise down, and give the appointment as much time as it takes. From thirteen, book the Prestigious Haircut at $48, which adds the straight-razor neck shave, the shampoo and conditioner service and the full finish.
