Hair & Beard Coloring
The goal with men’s colour is almost never a new colour — it is your colour, minus the grey, in a way nobody can point to. That takes a shade chosen slightly warmer or cooler than you would guess, and a light hand.
From $25The services
Hair Coloring — $40
Colour applied through the hair to cover grey, followed by a shampoo and a machine shoulder massage. David is a licensed Cosmetologist as well as a Master Barber, which matters here — colour is a cosmetology discipline and not every barber is trained or licensed to do it.
Beard Color — $25
Colour applied to the beard area to cover grey, including a shampoo and shoulder massage. Beard hair takes colour differently from scalp hair and usually needs a shorter processing time, which is why it is priced and timed separately.
Chemical Hair Relaxer — $45
A chemical straightening treatment for curly and wavy hair, including a hair wash and a machine shoulder massage. Suited to men who want a consistently smoother, more manageable result than styling alone provides.
Full coverage or grey blending?
Two honest options. Full coverage takes the grey out completely — a bigger change, and one that needs touching up roughly every four weeks as the roots return. Blending knocks the grey back so it reads as natural variation rather than as grey, which is softer, grows out far less obviously and looks more believable on most men over forty. David will tell you which one your hair is actually suited to.
Making it last
- Wait 48 hours before the first wash so the colour settles
- Use a colour-safe, sulphate-free shampoo — ordinary shampoo strips it noticeably faster
- Rinse after swimming; Miami pool chlorine and salt water both pull colour
- Wear a hat in strong sun where you can — UV fades colour the same way it fades fabric
- Plan on a touch-up every four weeks for full coverage, or six to eight for blending
Combine with a cut
Colour is usually best booked alongside the Prestigious Haircut, and beard colour alongside a beard trim, so the shape and the colour are refreshed at once. Select both services when booking online.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much is men’s hair coloring in Coral Gables?
At Prestigious Image, hair coloring is $40, beard color is $25 and a chemical hair relaxer is $45. Each includes a shampoo and a machine shoulder massage.
Will it look obviously dyed?
Not if the shade is chosen properly. Most men are best served by blending rather than full coverage — it reads as natural variation, grows out far less visibly, and is much harder to spot. David will recommend the approach that suits your hair.
How long does men’s hair color last?
Full grey coverage generally needs a touch-up every four weeks as roots return. Blending stretches to six or eight weeks because the grow-out line is much softer.
Do you do a patch test?
Tell David about any known allergies or previous reactions to hair colour when you book, and he will advise on a patch test before the appointment. Call (305) 640-8775.
Can you color a beard and hair on the same visit?
Yes. They are separate services because beard hair processes differently, but they are routinely booked together. Select both when scheduling so enough time is reserved.
